Creation and Development of New Woodland
Fountains Forestry has established new woodlands and forests in a variety of locations and settings across the UK. These projects have ranged from the creation of broadleaved, native woodland in the South West Forest and National Forest through to planting native pinewoods and conifer forests in Scotland.
New woodland planting is carried out for four primary reasons:
- Afforestation for commercial purposes
- Landscaping new building developments, landfill and ex-industrial sites
- Establishment of new woodland for amenity and conservation
- Carbon sequestration projects
Fountains Forestry offers a comprehensive service in woodland establishment and development, from the inception and consultative stage through to grant applications, planting, maintenance and management.
