Deer Stalking
Established in 1980, the sporting service of Fountains Forestry offers a unique opportunity to stalk Red, Roe and Sika deer in the forests that we manage across the UK. This includes over 27,000 acres of managed woodland at various locations throughout Caithness and Sutherland in the Scottish Highlands, where the quality and availabilty of Red and Sika deer stalking is particularly high. Our experienced rangers have detailed knowledge of the estates we manage and offer a skilled and professional service. Our annual cull in North Scotland is in excess of 500 deer per annum. Over recent years trophy quality has increased and we now cull high quality Roe Bucks, Red Stags up to 25 stone and medal class Sika.
Why do we need to control deer?
Uncontrolled deer populations within woodland can cause irreparable damage to the crop. Deer stalking is a traditional way of managing these populations whilst conserving habitats and ensuring the long-term health of the wild deer population, as well as providing a valuable source of income for many estates.
We can arrange stalking throughout the seasons catering for both individuals and small groups. If you would like further information on our activities and pricing, please complete an enquiry form or contact:
