Tree Safety Inspections

All landowners have a Duty of Care to maintain their trees in a safe condition insofar as is practicable in order to fulfil their legal responsibility.

Whether fronting roads, in parks or within housing areas there should be an effective regime of inspection and, where required, remedial works. High target areas may require an annual inspection while those where the risk of damage to property or injury to individuals is lower, a longer inspection period may be appropriate.

Fountains Forestry is able to advise on appropriate inspection regimes and carry out tree safety inspections for landed estates, local authorities, housing associations and any landowner who has a substantial number of trees on their property.

Surveys are carried out by suitably competent surveyors using hand-held GPS mappers and results are available in paper form or electronically. Bespoke applications of data capture can be produced by our GIS manager to suit individual requirements.

Our tree inspectors are qualified to relevant standards, including those set by both the Arboricultural Association and Royal Forestry Society.
